She holds a PhD in the area of Digital&nbsp;Media&nbsp; and&nbsp;Mass Communications from the Department of Journalism and Mass Communications of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She also earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Digital Media, Communication and Journalism from the same department. Her Master\u2019s dissertation focused on fashion journalism in the digital environment. In addition, she received a Bachelor\u2019s degree in Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business&nbsp;(AUEB).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Her research interests focuses on social media manipulation, digital fashion, gaming environment, disinformation and influence campaigns, social network analysis, anti- immigration discourse and hate speech&nbsp;in digital era, echo chambers and filter bubbles in political discussions, arts and culture.<br><br>Her Phd dissertation specialized on manipulation through&nbsp;&nbsp;Social Media&nbsp;Platforms involving data collection&nbsp;methods. During her PhD studies, Thomai Voulgari had been a scholar of The Greek State&nbsp;Scholarship&nbsp;Foundation (IKY). She also received a scholarship Research&nbsp;Grant for&nbsp;Researcher Support&nbsp;with&nbsp;emphasis on Young Scientists through the Operational Programme \u00abHuman Resources Development, Education and Lifelong Learning 2014-2020\u00bb in the context of the project: \u201cMeasuring the influence in elections from political bots campaigns\u201d. Moreover, Dr. Thomai Voulgari received scholarship for remedial teaching in the field of political<br>communication.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She has presented and published work at many specific&nbsp;conferences and journal&nbsp;publications. She has also worked as a journalist and social media manager for news organizations with an emphasis on research about culture and&nbsp;theatre.
